How to profit from the Google referral programs

Google is currently running 2 affiliate programs that are available to most AdSense users.

The AdSense affiliate program

The first is for AdSense itself and it is generous. The basic position is that if you 

1. Refer a new publisher to AdSense
2. They qualify and sign up, and
3. They earn $100 from clicks (legitimately!)
4. You get paid $100

Of course you need to be an AdSense publisher yourself to be able to profit from this affiliate program. There is also likely to be a time lag between people signing up and you getting paid because it takes newcomers a while to earn $100.

The Firefox affiliate program

The second referral program is for the Firefox browser and associated Google toolbar. Here the basic position is

1. You refer a new user to the Firefox browser download page
2. They install it on their computer
3. They run it for the first time
4. You get paid $1

Ok, so that's not so generous but there are 2 reasons why both these programs ought really to make you some easy money.
