The Definitive Guide to Google AdSense

Affiliate Program

NEW
With the "EasyBuild" Affiliate link system

You can sell The Definitive Guide to Google AdSense and earn 50% commission on each sale. This means you get around $30 a time - just by putting a link to my sales page on your site.

It's very easy - and I'll supply you with marketing materials too, materials that will help you sell my book via your site automatically to people who visit your site, 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world.

How it works

I have placed The Definitive Guide to Google AdSense on Clickbank.  If you don't know about Clickbank, it provides a service that lets people buy information based products online.  Importantly it also allows publishers of information products to run affiliate programs too.

If someone clicks on your affiliate link and buys The Guide via Clickbank, they get charged via their credit or debit card etc, and Clickbank then splits the income 3 ways.

You get your commission credited to your Clickbank account, and they pay this out to you regularly.

I get my part of the price for researching, writing and publishing the Guide and Clickbank takes a smaller commission on the transaction too as a way of charging for its services.

The only "work" you have to do is put a single short link on your site which is not bad considering you get virtually $30 a sale.

The link you get from Clickbank identifies you as the seller, and it also includes a code that identifies the Guide as the product you are selling.

You need to have a Clickbank ID in order to get your own seller code and earn your commission and you can set one up here.  It is a straightforward process - I did it about a year ago - and won't take you more than 5 minutes.  Once you've got a Clickbank ID you can then automatically join thousands of other affiliate programs too.

Marketing Tools

There are 6 ways you can sell this Guide and make money.

1. "EasyBuild" affiliate sales system - place links by AdSense ads.

This assumes you are already running AdSense and is a great way to introduce potential purchasers via a low-pressure sales route.

Have a look at your own AdSense ads.  You'll see a little message by them that says "Ads by Google"

What you need to do is set up a small text link just above or below this text that says

Make money with Ads by Google

See Example page with ads in middle

The reason this link will work well is that many people will see your ads and think "How do people get these Ads on their sites?" The link will show them exactly how to answer their question and will get clicked.  Sales that come via your affiliate link this way then earn you commission.

2 Via Email

If you run any email lists (and you should if you want to get your own repeat visitors) you could include a link on your next mailing.  You'll also need some marketing copy to include in your email.  Here's a couple of examples:

"My friend William Charlwood has written The Definitive Guide to Google AdSense which tells you exactly how to make money by hosting small ads on your website.  It is a detailed road-map of everything you need to do to get going and then maximise your AdSense income.

Once you've got it right, you can look forward to a check every month from Google.

or

"There's a great new book on AdSense just out that includes a load of useful tricks that can skyrocket your AdSense earnings.  Check it out at Your Clickbank link goes here."

You can also place a link to your Clickbank sales page in your email Signature file.  This is text that gets included automatically in your email.  Here's some wording you can edit and play with

"How to make money with Google's AdSense program.
Get The Definitive Guide to Google AdSense."

3 Via AdWords

AdWords are a great way of driving traffic to your affiliate site, in fact it's the main way that many affiliate marketers get their sales: they advertise on Google and their AdWords links simply take clickers straight to the sales pages.

Some affiliates don't even bother to have a website to do this.  You don't need one after all!

If you place AdWords ads on the web and set them up so your ads takes people to your affiliate link, they will see a sales page but you get the commission on each sale.  You could get these clicks for as little as 5 cents which means you only need 1 sale per 550 clicks to make a profit!

Don't forget to include the word "affiliate" or "aff" on your ad otherwise Google will stop you advertising.

4 Offline

There is nothing to stop you advertising this Guide locally or in your national press but if you do, you need to make certain that you include a web address for more information that ensures you get the commission due to you.

The easiest way to do this is to quote a short website address such as www.yourwebaddress.com/guide.htm and then include on that page your Clickbank link.

5 Forums

This is similar to the email marketing system: you design a compelling signature file and add it to all your forum postings making sure you include your Clickbank link to the sales page.

6 Other pay per click methods

AdWords are not the only Pay per Click advertising systems on the internet. Check out Overture.com, Findwhat.com (often cheaper than AdWords) or just do a search for pay per click advertising and see what you get.
