AdSense Channels

How AdSense Channels help you manage
your AdSense account

A Channel is simply Google's term for a particular source of AdSense income.  This could be a single page, or a whole website, or a particular style of AdSense ads.

Google lets you create up to 50 channels within your account so you can analyse where your AdSense Revenues are coming from.

This is helpful and can provide guidance on which pages / sites / ad styles are most profitable but the data can take up to 2 days to hit your account which means that the process of fine tuning your AdSense program can take a while.

WebSearch and Channels

Google introduced its WebSearch product on 18th June 2004 and provided a separate Channel reporting system so that you can monitor WebSearch earnings separately from normal AdSense earnings.
